Jessica McCollum, Vice President of Operations at Baptist Retirement Homes, recently graduated from the 2022 Larry Minnix Leadership Academy program through LeadingAge, a national organization in aging services that supports and enables people to live fully as they age.
The Larry Minnix Leadership Academy program focuses on providing a leadership foundation rooted in reflective practice—uncovering one’s unique leadership attributes. The program teaches learning how to stretch and leverage those capacities to have the most impact as leaders.

Jessica joined Brookridge—Winston-Salem’s premier Life Plan Community—as the Administrator in August 2019. Soon after, she was promoted to Vice President of Operations of Baptist Retirement Homes in June 2020. Jessica’s unique perspective serves her well in an ever-changing industry and makes her an integral part of the leadership team. Her days consist of troubleshooting projects, motivating team members, and aligning resources to ensure every job gets done. Outside the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, her six-year-old son, reading a good book, and traveling to new and exciting places.
