In Our DNA

Shared Values

Our commitment to provide quality care and meaningful living to our residents is rooted in our core values — honesty, fairness, compassion, cooperation, dependability, humor, kindness, loyalty, patience and conscientiousness. From small gestures like greeting residents by name to anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations, we put our values into practice daily to enhance the lives of those we serve.

Central To Everything

Location

Taylor Glen is situated on a serene 124-acre campus in the delightful city of Concord, NC. Located halfway between the coast and the mountains, residents can have the best of both worlds while enjoying all the perks Concord has to offer, including golf, tennis, hiking, motorsports, entertainment, shopping, dining, plus access to top quality healthcare. You can even pan for gold in Concord. If you're looking to enrich your life, there's no better place to be than here.

Serving Seniors For Generations

History

Taylor Glen is part of the ThriveMore organization, formerly known as Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina. The community opened its doors for residency on the Concord campus in 2001 and continues to evolve to serve the needs of a growing waitlist. In 2022, Taylor Glen completed master planning for a multi-phase expansion. Phase 1 includes a pocket neighborhood of independent living cottage homes and a villa apartment building. A capital campaign to build North Carolina's first Green House Home for memory care is also underway.

Support Our Mission

Foundation

In 2000, a Foundation was formed to support the benevolent ministry of Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina. The Foundation has a profound impact on the lives of residents in our care, focusing on three key areas: Financial Assistance for Residents in Need, Subsidized Medications for Seniors and Enhancing our Communities. To learn how you can support the Foundation, visit thrivemorenc.org or contact Kevin Cook, Director of Development, at kcook@thrivemorenc.org.

“When we visited the first time we were sold. There is a warm family atmosphere, the decor is beautiful and the list just gets better. If you want to be busy all day, there is always lots of things going on; if you want to be lazy, check out a book in our extensive library; or take a walk and greet members of our great family.

It takes a village to raise a child. I say it takes a village of staff to make a happy place. And we have that village. Thank you for making this our Happy Place!

Come and check us out!”
